The King's School in Macclesfield

      Girls' Cricket

Girls’ cricket is growing in popularity as more girls are exposed to the sport. Cricket is played in games sessions during the summer term and is enjoyed by a range of year groups within extra-curricular activities too. We enter the annual Lady Taverner’s competition which sees finalists play at the home of cricket (Lord’s).

Over recent years we have been Cheshire East champions and represented East Cheshire at the county finals.  As more cricket is played in local areas and clubs, we hope to be able to develop the sport and get more girls into local clubs to aid their progression within the sport. Girls that are interested in playing more cricket outside of school can contact who will put them in touch with a club that is local to them.
